Hubby has his usual early morning surf then we head to Manik Organik for breakfast. Not an extensive brekky menu here, but you can order anything from the all day menu. We order omelettes, toast with pesto & tomato plus toast with jam for our daughter. Hubby orders a luwak coffee, and I opt for a cappucino which is really good. This was our first try of luwak coffee, looking at it, they could of given us 3 day old coffee or dirty dish water & we wouldn't of known the difference, but Hubby said he didn't mind it.
After breakfast we ride the bikes as far north as the path can take us. We stop when the path ends & becomes a bumpy trail.
Riding back, we stop a few times to take some photos. Kids spot a cute black puppy who looks like our beloved 2 year old Lab 'Jet' back home so we stop a while & let them play with him.
Off to Koa Spa for me while the others head to the pool. This time I have a 'Jet Lag' massage which concentrates on the lower body & shoulders.
Getting dressed after the massage, one of shoestring straps has a blow out on my new Rip Curl top...great...the family are meeting me here, then we are heading straight to lunch. Luckily through sign language I manage to explain what a safety pin is & one of the staff finds one & mends my top.
For lunch we are meeting an old friend of my husbands at Cafe Batu Jimbar. Jen lives in Sanur with her 4 children & leads a very interesting life - together with her husband they own & run Resort Latitude Zero in the Telo Islands (Mentawais) catering to surfers & their families. They also run a surf charter. Jen lives most of the year in Sanur, a few months on the island & another few back on the Central Coast of Australia. Was so interesting listening to all her stories including her experience of the tsunami in Thailand while 30 weeks pregnant!
After much chatting we finally ordered & the food was really good. I had their signature salad with tempeh & have a craving right now just thinking about it! Hubby ordered the nasi campur, and the kids had the rice paper rolls & samosas.

Tonight we don't feel like walking too far for dinner, so we head out the beach path & go to Sand (which has replaced the old Bonsai restaurant).

Not long after sitting down there's a commotion with a staff member crawling under a table chasing something & the lady customers standing on their chairs....is it a mouse, is it a rat?... No, it's a snake! Kids are all excited to see a striped sea snake. I run back for the iPhone intending to take some photos, but the guy has already grabbed the snake & is running towards the water swinging it like a lasso.
After all the excitement we sit back down & order our meals. Hubby had the beef rendang & declared it a tad dry. I ordered the crispy duck & really enjoyed it. Kids weren't very hungry as we had ordered them a snack from room service a couple of hours earlier, so they just shared a nasi goreng. Hubby also ordered a nice layered apple cake for dessert.
